Sunday evening, November 26, 2023, the Great Anguilla Beach Resort at Rendevous Bay held an arts festival. I decided to check it out.

Rendevous Bay is about 18 minutes to the west of the Forest and only about 1 mile south of the main road through the island. I easily arrived at the Anguilla Great House Beach Resort.

After parking, I walked through the complex to the central grassy area where the festival booths and bandstand were located.

After doing a first stroll through the festival grounds, the sea pulled me towards it.

While I didn’t go swimming, I did walk in the surf.

While I was walking on the beach, a man came over to me. His arms were covered with beaded bracelets he was selling. I saw one had an elephant. As my family knows, I have a thing for elephants, so I felt I “had” to buy the bracelet!

Then I went back to the festival grounds and checked out the shops. I wanted something with Anguilla on it, so I bought a cute bookmark. The design actually looks like Rendevous Bay.

Roy’s Beach Bar had a festival booth selling “Event Burgers” so I bought one and ate it on the beach. Very tasty.

Rendevous Bay is extremely popular for swimming. The owners of this sailboat sailed to the Bay specifically to go swimming and then sailed away.

I will definitely return to Rendevous Bay to swim.

I enjoyed listening to the music while the sun set over the Bay.

Any visitor to Anguilla must spend time at Rendevous Bay.
