Bedneys Well
The well was dug in the mid-1800s and has served since then as a community water source.
Drive west on the main road, then turn right at Bedneys Road towards Long Bay Village.
Bethel Methodist Church & Cemetery
This church is just off the main road in South Hill Village. It was constructed in 1877. Although heavily damaged by Hurricane Irma, it has since been rebuilt and refurbished in its original style.
Wallblake House
The house was built in 1787 and is part of the oldest plantation on Anguilla. Many of the plantation buildings still exist on the site. Will Blake was a sugar planter.
This is just off the main road in The Valley, near the airport.
National Green Space
The park is in the Historic Lower Valley off Coronation Avenue.
Historic Roaches Hill/Crocus Hill
Ebenezer Methodist Church
This church was built in 1830 and is the oldest church in Anguilla.
Take Coronation Avenue from the Valley up Crocus Hill.
Warden’s Place
The house was built in the 1700’s by a Dutch family from Sint Maarten who had a cotton and sugar plantation that extended to Crocus Bay. It eventually became the residence of the Magistrate/Chief of Police and was then known as the Warden’s Place.
In The Valley, take Coronation Avenue towards Crocus Hill.
Old Court House; now Anguilla National Museum and Archives
Built around 1750, this is the only remaining original government building. It will re-open as a museum.
Take Coronation Avenue from The Valley up Crocus Hill. Turn left on Old Court House Road.
Katouche Cavern
Take Coronation Avenue from The Valley up Crocus Hill. Turn left on Old Court House Road. Drive down the road to the end and then down the hill to Katouche Bay. Look for a break in the forest along the beach. The break is next to a salt pond. Follow the trail up the hill to the Cavern. You will pass a historic well and climb up a stone stairway known as the Arawak Stairs.
The Fountain Cavern
This site is in the northeast near Shoal Bay. Call Anguilla National Trust [+1 264-235-5297] to arrange a tour of the site. The Fountain Cavern dates back to the Amerindian period.

Welches Hill
Take the main road east to Welches Hill. Park at Teena’s Lifestyle. Walk across the street to the field to see this traditional oven that bakes johnny cakes for the Whit Monday Festival held each year at Welches Hill.
